Harrow Technical buy, sell and repair Pentax classic equipment and are the UK’s most experienced Pentax classic specialist with experience going back to 1969. Trading since 1995, we offer a complete sales and service package to owners of Pentax film equipment and are unique in this field.
All equipment we sell is fully guaranteed for twelve months and supplied with a 14 day money back guarantee from the invoice date so there is absolutely no risk. If an item disappoints for any reason, we will refund the full purchase price.
Our repair technicians have undergone Pentax factory training on all Pentax classic cameras and use up to date sophisticated test, diagnostic and calibration equipment approved by Pentax. All repairs are carried out under the close supervision of the ex Pentax UK Technical Service Manager and our objective is to provide the best possible repair service to Pentax owners at affordable prices.
Repair turnaround time is normally 5-10 working days and we can undertake almost any type of repair regardless of damage sustained. It takes time to carry out an overhaul properly and after relubrication, we allow the lubricant time to fully penetrate the shutter mechanism and then recheck the shutter speeds after two or three days. For this reason, we are not able offer a same day service.
We have large stocks of spare parts for most Pentax classic models. You may have returned your camera to Pentax UK for repair and been told that parts are no longer available or been told a similar story by a dealer or independent repairer, if so contact us, we can probably help. If you are a school, college, student or use K1000 in the course of your business, we have good stocks of spares for this still popular old workhorse.
Our pricing structure is completely transparent so you know at the outset exactly what you will pay. We don’t quote meaningless average or “from” prices and believe our repair charges represent excellent value for money with no hidden extras. The prices listed are what you will pay; are all inclusive, include parts, labour, P&P and apply to virtually all repairs we receive. Every repair we carry out is guaranteed for twelve months and unlike many repairers, we guarantee the entire camera not just the repair carried out and because we are a small family run business, there is no VAT to pay.
If you are posting equipment, we recommend using Special Delivery Post, which automatically insures the contents up to £500.00. In most cases, we only need the camera body, which will make packing easier. We don’t ask for prepayment but do please include a full description of the faults together with your details and e-mail address. If you don’t have a suitable box and packing in which to send your equipment, e-mail us your name and address and we will send a box and packing free of charge. We will not under any circumstances pass your details on to third parties.

Every camera we receive is fully dismantled, cleaned, relubricated, light seals replaced using high density long lasting material, serviced to Pentax factory specifications and will be restored mechanically to the condition it was in when it left the factory. All LX models are resealed with Japanese sourced sealant after repair to prevent penetration of moisture or dust.
We offer a nationwide and worldwide postal service to most countries. All equipment is fully insured, well packed and despatched by next day Special Delivery Post to UK addresses or International Signed for post to overseas customers. If you live overseas, we accept payment only by paypal or Direct Bank Transfer and will advise the extra postal costs involved.
