Our Pentax camera repair technicians have undergone factory training on all Pentax classic cameras and use modern test, diagnostic and calibration equipment approved by Pentax.
All repairs are carried out under the close supervision of the ex-Pentax UK Technical Service Manager and our objective is to provide the best possible repair service to owners of Pentax film equipment at affordable prices.
Our Pentax camera repair turnaround time is normally 10 working days and we can undertake almost any type of repair regardless of damage sustained. It takes time to carry out an overhaul properly and after relubrication, we allow the lubricant time to fully penetrate the shutter mechanism and then recheck the shutter speeds after two or three days. For this reason, we are not able offer a same day service.
We carry a large stock of spare parts for most Pentax classic models, Including parts which are no longer available, even amongst other independent specialists. For example, we still carry a good stock of spares for the K1000, a hugely popular old workhorse. We can also supply reconditioned K1000′s guaranteed for twelve months at favourable rates.
Our Pentax camera repair pricing structure is completely transparent so you know at the outset exactly what you will pay. We don’t quote meaningless average or “from” prices and believe our repair charges represent excellent value for money with no hidden extras. The prices listed are what you will pay and include parts and labour. Post & packing and insurance in most cases is £9.00 for a single 35mm SLR camera body only minus lens, and our prices apply to virtually all repairs we receive.
Every Pentax camera repair we carry out is guaranteed for twelve months and, unlike most repairers, we guarantee the entire camera.
If you are posting equipment, we recommend using Special Delivery Post, which automatically insures the contents up to £500.00. In most cases, we only need the camera body, which will make packing easier. We don’t ask for pre-payment but do please include a full description of the faults together with your details and e-mail address. If you don’t have a suitable box and packing in which to send your equipment, e-mail us your name and address and we will send a box and packing free of charge. We will not under any circumstances pass your details on to third parties.
Every camera we receive for repair will be fully dismantled, cleaned, relubricated, light seals replaced using high density long lasting material, serviced to Pentax factory specifications and will be restored mechanically to the condition it was in when it left the factory. All LX models are resealed with Japanese sourced sealant after repair to prevent penetration of moisture or dust.
We offer a nationwide and worldwide postal service to most countries. All equipment is fully insured, well packed and despatched by next day insured Special Delivery Post to UK addresses or International Signed for post to overseas customers. We receive repairs from all over the world. If you live overseas, we accept payment by paypal or Direct Bank Transfer and will advise the extra postal costs involved.
